Unravel what you inherited. Keep what is yours.

Unravel Counselling offers warm, culturally attuned virtual therapy to adults located across British Columbia. The practice has a particular understanding of South Asian and first-generation experiences, including family obligation, cultural adjustment, identity, belonging, guilt around success, burnout, and the tension between caring for others and making room for your own life.

Founded by Theekshitha Vadladi, Unravel Counselling creates space for the parts of your story that do not fit into a simple label. Culture, family, relationships, work, migration, systemic pressures, and the roles you learned to carry can all be part of the conversation.

Therapy that makes room for your whole context.

Sessions are collaborative and shaped around your goals, pace, lived experience, and sense of safety. Depending on fit and consent, the work may draw from person-centred therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, somatic, relational, and trauma-informed approaches.

Support is available for anxiety, depression and low mood, trauma, career burnout, job loss and career transitions, relationships, intimacy, identity, cultural isolation, self-esteem, stress, and emotional overwhelm. You do not need the perfect name for what is happening before you reach out.

Ways to work together.

Individual and trauma therapy

A private, paced place to understand anxiety, trauma, burnout, grief, identity, and patterns that keep taking more than they give.

EMDR therapy

Structured, collaborative support for difficult experiences that still feel present in your body, emotions, beliefs, or relationships.

Sex and couples therapy

Nonjudgmental conversations about intimacy, desire, communication, conflict, trust, shame, identity, and connection.

Low-cost counselling

A place to ask directly about current lower-cost options, fees, and availability when finances are part of the stress.

Begin with a practical conversation.

A free 15-minute consultation is a chance to ask questions, discuss current availability, and get a feel for whether working together may be a fit. All appointments are virtual, and clients must be physically located in British Columbia at the time of care. An initial email does not need to include private clinical details.
