Whole-context care
Culture, family, identity, relationships, work, and systemic realities are part of the conversation rather than background details.
Unravel Counselling is a virtual therapy practice where culture, identity, relationships, work, and the realities of daily life can be understood together.
Book a consultationMental health does not happen in isolation. Family expectations, migration, culture, racism, work, gender, relationships, finances, and the roles you learned to carry can all shape what feels possible.
The practice was founded by Theekshitha Vadladi to offer care that does not ask clients to separate those realities from the reasons they came to therapy. There is room for complexity here: love and obligation, gratitude and anger, ambition and exhaustion, belonging and the wish for something different.
Therapy is collaborative rather than prescriptive. Your goals, pace, lived experience, and sense of safety guide the work. Depending on fit and consent, sessions may draw from person-centred therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, somatic, relational, and trauma-informed approaches.
Unravel has a particular understanding of South Asian and first-generation experiences, while welcoming adults from all backgrounds who connect with the practice and its approach.
Culture, family, identity, relationships, work, and systemic realities are part of the conversation rather than background details.
You help shape what therapy focuses on, how quickly it moves, and which approaches feel useful enough to try.
Sessions are offered online to adults who are physically located in British Columbia at the time of care.
Unravelling is not the same as coming apart. It can mean loosening what has become too tight, noticing which expectations belong to you, and making more room for choices that fit your present life.
The aim is not to erase where you come from or prescribe one version of independence. It is to help you understand what you carry, keep what matters, and relate to yourself and others with more honesty, flexibility, and self-trust.

A free consultation is a practical place to ask questions about the approach, current availability, and whether working together may be a fit.
