Build steadiness before digging deeper
We will develop ways to notice when you are overwhelmed, shut down, or pulled into the past—and help you return to the present.
The danger may be gone, but your body can still react as if it needs to survive the next conversation, noise, conflict, silence, or change in someone’s tone.
Book a consultationYou might over-explain to avoid conflict, go numb when someone gets close, scan every room for danger, or stay busy because slowing down lets too much catch up. These responses are not character flaws. They are strategies that may have helped you survive and are now making ordinary life harder.
I will not push you to retell every detail before you are ready. We will start with what is affecting you now and build enough steadiness to work safely. Sessions may draw from trauma-sensitive, person-centred, ACT, somatic, relational, and EMDR approaches, always with your consent.
We will develop ways to notice when you are overwhelmed, shut down, or pulled into the past—and help you return to the present.
Triggers, relationship patterns, people-pleasing, anger, and exhaustion can all become part of the work without forcing a full retelling.
Your culture, family story, relationships, and present-day realities shape what safety and healing can realistically look like.
